About Dr. MacKenzie
Dr. MacKenzie attended The University of Mass, Amherst for her bachelors degree. She then worked at the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the shelter and the clinic for a year before moving on to veterinary school. She attended the University of Liverpool in England where her love for travel developed.
After graduating in 2002, she moved back to the United States and decided to look into acupuncture for her elderly german shephard. "It worked so well for her arthritis that I had to pursue this avenue for my patients". Dr. MacKenzie attended the IVAS(international veterinary acupuncture society) course held at Tufts University in 2004. She became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2006.
Today, Dr MacKenzie works at various veterinary hospitals in the Boston area as a conventional doctor. In her spare time, Dr MacKenzie enjoys traveling, rock climbing and spending time with her family and two cats, Captain Chaos and Diva.
